Actually all of these painting have been created with black ink which, applied in a various dilutions onto white cotton and canvas, tends to turn green within a couple of hours of applying.
In these cleaner images it is probably easier to detect the influence of my tree and nude studies and also my interest in dance and rhythm. Apart from this they are the fruit of many trails and experiments with different ink brands and the effects that they can produce applied in various concentrations on different types of canvas, sometimes totally dry, sometimes partially dampened.
Some of the effects have been achieved by applying the ink to particularly fragile supporting material such as organza or muslin. Again they are the result of hours of play and experimentation, sometimes with much joy and confidence, at others with much anxiety and uncertainty.
